Responsibilities
The RDSM will know the Kamstrup Partner Program and understand what it means for the distributors and for Kamstrup
The RDSM will directly manage local independent distributors located throughout the territory
Provide distributors with training, guidance and assistance concerning the markets, how to obtain favorable product acceptance and increase sales opportunities for all division products
Establish strategic objectives and standards for distributors and monitor the effectiveness of existing distributors to ensure optimum efficiency
Plan and allocate time and resources to ensure sales objectives will meet the goals outlined in the company business plan
Interacts with internal departments, such as Customer Service, Operations, Logistics and Marketing regarding delivery, training, product manufacturing and availability
Provides formal and informal technical education regarding all division products and coaches the distributors and supports them within their region
The RDSM ensures that the distributors are regularly trained, online or onsite
The RDSM is responsible for advising the distributor on all Kamstrup updates (sales processes, terms and conditions, new policies, warranties, updates on software, etc.)
The RDSM follows the annual wheel and respects the deadlines
The RDSM collects monthly forecasts from the distributors and updates them in CRM
The RDSM forwards RFP details and time frame information to Kamstrup bid manager as soon as the RFP is released
The RDSM follows the Business Development Plan process: + The plan is prepared by the RSM before the meeting with the distributor (W11-12, W24-25, W37-38, W47-48) the targets and activities, including planning of objectives and KPIs, are to be discussed and planned with the distributor. The Business Development Plan is updated in CRM at the end of each quarter
The RDSM re-evaluates the distributors during W49 using the scoring guide and based on facts. The re-evaluation must be discussed and approved with the Director Distribution Sales
The RDSM regularly reports to the Director Distribution Sales
The RDSM ensures that the distributor respects the terms of the Distribution Agreement. Any breach of the agreement must be discussed with the distributor and the Director Distribution Sales
Up to 80% travel is required
Qualification
Required
Five plus years of relevant industry experience is a must
Proven track record of increasing sales and revenue
Expert abilities with building and maintaining relationships, listening, persuading, negotiating and time management
Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems
Knows principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
Effective at written and verbal communication. Requires substantial industry and product knowledge
Ability to develop sales strategies and use performance KPIs
Proficient in MS Office
Sound negotiation and consultative sales skills
High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
