They are seeking an Associate, Bookkeeper who will be responsible for providing clients with accurate financial statements and performing bookkeeping functions for multiple clients.

Responsibilities
At capacity, you will perform the bookkeeping function/month-end close for 20 -30 clients
Ensure transactions are categorized into the correct account. Maintain the chart of accounts and ensure it’s optimized for business performance and tax analysis
Confirm revenue per accounting software ties to client’s payment processor (Stripe, Paypal, industry-specific ones, etc)
Leverage 3rd party payroll processors (Gusto, ADP, etc) to properly record payroll transactions
Reconcile all bank accounts, credit cards, and loans
Generate financial statements (P&L & B/S) with high-level analysis and share with clients via monthly email recap and/or Loom video
Onboard clients with no accounting system to Quickbooks Online or clean up existing Quickbooks accounts
There may be the occasional client with AR/AP needs
Performing 1099 filing for clients in need
Qualification
Required
Proven experience as a bookkeeper; at least 2-3 years of experience is required
Experience working in QuickBooks Online is a must
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently, remotely, and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
Preferred
Experience with inventory (retail, e-commerce) accounting is not required but is preferred
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is preferred, but for candidates with the appropriate background won't be required
