The Accounting Intern will be involved in various financial accounting tasks, including data extraction from SAP, product costing, and general accounting, while collaborating with the Controller and other managers in the manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities

Review of BOM’s, Routers associated with product costing

Downloading Fixed Asset reports from SAP into excel. Reviewing the asset register by cost center and interacting with department managers to determine whether assets are still in service or have been damaged/impaired

Participating in walk around audits with controller to determine if asset tags are missing and/or additional asset tags are needed. Coordinate tag requests thru HQ and apply tags locally

Downloading warehouse cycle counts reports from SAP into Excel. Auditing records in SAP to determine whether adequate supporting documentation has been attached to the SAP counts. Summarizing results and distributing to controller and warehouse manager

Assist controller in developing product costing models outside of SAP for new products

Assist controller in performing various HQ reconciliations

Assist with ad hoc projects as needed

Other duties as assigned
