Senior LevelE78 Talent is seeking an experienced Interim Public Company Controller for a large, complex, publicly traded organization within the infrastructure services sector. This role will provide hands-on leadership across financial reporting, close, controls, and public-company compliance in a dynamic, multi-entity operating environment.

Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process for a public company environment
Ensure timely and accurate SEC reporting, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and related disclosures
Own and manage SOX compliance, internal controls, and coordination with internal audit and external auditors
Provide technical accounting leadership on complex matters such as:
Revenue recognition (long-term contracts / percentage of completion)
Purchase accounting and integrations
Leases, debt, equity, and stock-based compensation
Consolidations and intercompany accounting
Oversee preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
Partner closely with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and operational finance leaders
Support external audit processes and serve as a primary point of contact for auditors
Identify process improvement opportunities within accounting operations and reporting workflows
Mentor and provide day-to-day leadership to the controllership and accounting teams
Assist with special projects, including system enhancements, integrations, or process remediation as needed
Qualification
Required
Experience in SEC reporting
Experience in SOX compliance
Experience in complex accounting
Experience in multi-segment operations
Ability to lead and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process for a public company environment
Ability to ensure timely and accurate SEC reporting, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and related disclosures
Ability to own and manage SOX compliance, internal controls, and coordination with internal audit and external auditors
