CDOC Technician III - Court Services (Colorado Springs).
The State of Colorado is seeking a CDOC Technician III to provide daily support within the Office of Offender Services. This role involves organizing and monitoring incoming calls, scheduling intakes and releases of DOC offenders, and serving as a liaison between various law enforcement and judicial agencies.

Responsibilities
Position is responsible for providing technical and administrative support to one or more work unit
Assists administrators and other professionals within the work unit
Responsible for quality control of information processed; detect, discover and expose problems by monitoring information
Recommends improvements and changes to system processes to ensure quality control and efficiency
Position establishes general office and administrative operations to accomplish the work flow routine, creating and revising office procedures and writing office procedure manual, designing forms, and establishing general office record systems
Evaluates, compiles, and distributes appropriate information
Revises procedures or methods to improve efficiency
Establishes own work priorities
Analyzes and interprets routine information
Research and retrieve information on processes, problems, etc., in order to promote efficiencies
Position provides technical support in the area of Microsoft Office, Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint, in managing information
Generates letters, spreadsheets, and uses various databases to complete accurate reporting of data and information
Designs forms
Searches files, documents or other sources for information
Collect, gather and research data
Create databases for tracking, follow-up, and trends
Ensures accuracy by auditing, analyzing, and amending of data
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Three (3) years of technical or high-level clerical experience
Possess a valid driver's license
Possess a high school diploma or GED
Have NO felony convictions
Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States
Successfully pass all modules of the six-week Colorado Department of Corrections Basic Training
Possess the physical ability to successfully complete Defensive Tactics
Must be able to see and hear in order to observe, address and respond to potential breaches in safety and security
Demonstrate body agility, strength of all four limbs and the ability to walk and climb stairs consistently
Work in situations involving assaultive behavior, physical control of another person and/or restraint situations
Deal with individuals with a range of moods and behaviors, utilizing tactfulness and a congenial, personable manner
Communicate by talking, listening and/or signaling people to convey or exchange information, assignments
Work in an environment with fluctuating noise and temperature (hot and cold) which may include working outdoors in inclement weather and/or concrete floor/wall work settings
Willing and able to travel
Willing and able to work various shifts, days, afternoons, graveyards (nights) which includes a rotating shift schedule
TB (tuberculosis) screening is required of all new employees upon hire
Successful completion of a background investigation is required
Preferred
Experience performing legal research
Experience analyzing and interpreting state and federal statutes
