Director of Communications
Rodatherm Energy Corporation is seeking a Director of Communications to lead their marketing and communications strategy. This role involves developing a marketing plan, crafting messaging, and overseeing external communications to position Rodatherm as a leader in the geothermal energy industry.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and communications plan aligned with business objectives
Manage content creation for campaigns, thought leadership, and industry events
Manage communications vendors, which may include graphic designers, web specialists, and social media managers
Manage marketing budget ensuring strong stewardship over all financial decisions
Oversee external communications, including website, press releases, social media, sponsorships, and other stakeholder engagement activities
Collaborate with executive leadership to support strategic initiatives and investor relations
Monitor industry trends, competitor landscape and regulatory shifts to refine messaging and positioning
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, Public Relations or related field from an accredited college or university
Minimum 10 years of experience in communications and marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
Proven experience in the energy industry (renewables, oil & gas, utilities, or related sectors)
Significant experience with the following marketing channels: mass media, paid and organic social, sponsorships and community events
Familiarity with key metrics for each channel, tracking and analyzing KPIs
Comfortable with test-and-learn, adaptive approach to marketing
Superior written and verbal communication skills
Ability to thrive in an autonomous role with limited supervision or direction amongst changing priorities
Preferred
Experience working in or managing in a marketing agency or corporate marketing department
Experience bringing a new product or service to market
Ability to handle ambiguity and comfort in defining appropriate direction for role
Experience with using data and insights to target customers and personalize messages
Experience with GTM approach for rolling out a new product / new program and/or experience in startup environment
Experience managing and leading marketing strategy for a product or service, including directing others, coordinating with multiple stakeholders including external agency partners
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, remote environment
