Associate Director, BHR Operations, Acquisitions and Integration

Responsibilities
Partners with Operations, HR Integration Leadership, and the AbbVie Integration Office to develop and execute HR integration strategies tailored for each transaction
Manages any needed HR due diligence, integration planning, and post-close execution for acquired entities, ensuring alignment with AbbVie HR policies and practices
Drives all Operations HR-related integration deliverables
Advises on organizational structure, talent assessment, and role mapping in partnership with Operations business leaders and functional Operations BHR
Ensures HR readiness for Day 1, including onboarding and communication plans for acquired Operations employees
Facilitates change management, training, and communication initiatives to support Operations employee transition and engagement
Maintains confidentiality in all HR processes and data, and ensures compliance with local and federal employment regulations
Identifies HR risks and develops mitigation strategies in collaboration with legal and compliance partners
Continuously improves the Operations HR integration process, tools, and templates based on lessons learned and stakeholder feedback
Provides regular updates to leadership and key stakeholders on Operations HR integration status and issues
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
Minimum 8+ years broad HR experience, preferably with exposure to M&A and integration projects in a complex, matrixed organization
Demonstrated ability to lead and execute in cross-functional environments and navigate change
Strong knowledge of HR processes and employment law
Excellent interpersonal and executive-level communication skills
Analytical skills and ability to problem-solve in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
Preferred
Master's preferred; focus in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
Experience with strategic workforce planning and organizational design a plus
