The role involves supporting clients and ensuring the certification of aerospace systems in regulated environments, focusing on developing requirements and compliance plans for certification.

Responsibilities

Developing systems and component level requirements for design and verification within the Systems Engineering and Certification operating group and projects

Working closely with cross-functional teams to develop qualification plans and artifacts required for compliance to satisfy regulatory agencies

Required

Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering or related field and/or equivalent education and experience

5+ years experience in large scale systems design and certification environments

Advanced experience in design practices with consideration for system level performance and aerospace certification requirements including SAE ARP4754, RTCA/DO-178, RTCA/DO-254, RTCA/DO-160, 14CFR 23/25/29/33/35 and MIL-STDs

Demonstrated experience with FAA conformity and airworthiness processes, including: FAA Form 8130-3 (Authorized Release Certificate / Airworthiness Approval Tag) documenting approval for return to service or airworthiness of aircraft articles, FAA Form 8130-9 (Statement of Conformity) certifying that articles or test articles conform to the approved design data for certification testing, FAA Form 8100-1 (Conformity Inspection Record) documenting FAA conformity inspections for certification programs

Experience supporting FAA certification activities, including coordination with FAA designees (DERs, ODA, or FAA representatives) and participation in conformity inspections and certification audits

Excellent communication skills with the ability to facilitate teamwork across functions
