Office Engineer (Construction Management)

Tectonic Engineering Consultants, Geologists & Land Surveyors, D.P.C. is actively seeking an experienced full-time Office Engineer within the Western Region of New York State. The role involves providing construction management services on State University Construction Fund projects, including reviewing reports, preparing estimates, and ensuring project completion.

Responsibilities

Review of inspector’s daily reports for accuracy
Preparation and maintenance of monthly estimate and material certification books using CEES or other applicable software
Preparation of change orders as needed
Monitoring of the budget and schedule
Submittal tracking
Maintenance of project files and documentation
Preparation of meeting minutes and job-related correspondence
Work under the Resident Engineer’s guidance
Ensure successful execution, completion, and close-out of the project
Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualification

NICET Level IV CertificationProfessional Engineering LicenseBS Degree in Civil EngineeringConstruction Management ExperienceMicrosoft Office SuiteMulti-tasking AbilityInterpersonal SkillsOral Communication SkillsWritten Communication SkillsDetail Oriented

Required

Must possess a HS Diploma/Equivalent, and must possess and maintain at least one of the following: Valid NICET Level IV or IV Certification; Valid Professional Engineering License; BS Degree in Civil Engineering or an acceptable field
A minimum of 3 years of related experience
Ability to review Inspector's Daily Reports for accuracy of various work elements on projects involving highways and bridges
Excellent organization, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills
Must be detail oriented and have the ability to multi-task
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to learn project specific software as needed
Requires a valid, clean driver's license and personal vehicle to travel to and within project sites as needed
