Guardian Industries, a Koch Company, is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for Summer 2026 in Geneva, NY. The role involves working with plant electrical and control engineers on projects related to power systems, automation, and process improvement within a manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

Electrical Engineering

The initial goal for this specific internship will be working with plant electrical and control engineers to update the plant power systems short circuit current and arc flash model, with regards to the short circuit current and available arc flash energy. Following that there will be other power and control systems projects

Working in CAD software

Preparing and performing failure testing on glass/trim samples

Automation of processes and standardized reporting

Time studies and lean process improvement to achieve operational excellence

Supporting product development lab experiments and field trials

Working with and learning about tooling

Supporting project teams on new equipment installations

Required

Enrolled in an Electrical Engineering degree program

Eligible for full time employment on or before Summer 2028

Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship
