The Connectors and LACs department is searching for a responsible and enthusiastic student intern researcher to assist with 3D printing processes, model design using CAD software, and data collection and analysis in a team-oriented experimental materials research laboratory.

Responsibilities

Learn and assist with 3D printing processes
Learn and assist with model design using CAD software
Learn and assist with data collection and data analysis
Work effectively and responsibly in a research team and contribute towards a safe and secure laboratory working environment

Required

Earned bachelor's degree
Currently attending and enrolled full time in a related accredited graduate program
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0
Ability to work up to 30 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer
Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship

Preferred

Mechanical, Electrical, or Materials Engineer or relevant degree
Experience using computer aided design (CAD) software
Experience working in a laboratory
Experience or knowledge of additive manufacturing techniques
Mature oral and written communication skills as demonstrated by coursework or project assignments
