Finance Manager

They are seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to oversee financial planning, analysis, reporting, and core accounting activities while leading the finance and accounting team to drive data-informed decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities
Execute, lead and oversee financial analysis, forecasting, reporting, and strategic project support for senior leadership
Own the annual budgeting and rolling forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy, accountability, and alignment with strategic objectives
Partner with operational and business leaders to identify opportunities to improve financial performance, margins, and operational efficiency
Review and explain budget-to-actual variances, proactively identifying risks, trends, and corrective actions
Develop, maintain, and oversee financial models at the business unit and consolidated levels to support decision-making, pricing, and growth initiatives
Coordinate and consolidate financial inputs for proposals, bids, and strategic initiatives, ensuring consistency and financial rigor
Lead annual billable rate analyses for existing and prospective customers, providing recommendations to support profitability and competitiveness
Manage and review monthly financial activity, supporting accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external audit requests, ensuring compliance and timely responses
Oversee intercompany transactions between corporate and subsidiary entities, ensuring accuracy and proper eliminations
Design, implement, and continuously improve planning tools, dashboards, and models to support evolving business needs
Oversee data gathering and financial validation to support accurate and timely invoicing
Prepare and present clear, executive-level financial materials for leadership meetings, proposals, and board-level discussions
Develop, track, and interpret key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor business health and performance trends
Oversee internal finance and accounting team members by supporting staffing decisions, conducting performance management, and providing coaching and training
Build scalable financial processes, controls, and reporting mechanisms that enhance visibility, discipline, and planning effectiveness as the organization grows
Act as a finance business partner across departments, translating financial insights into actionable guidance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required
Minimum of ten (10)+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience; prior experience in energy services or project-based environments preferred
Strong working knowledge of financial statements, general ledger activity, and accounting systems
Advanced Excel proficiency required, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and financial model development
Strong business acumen with the ability to connect financial results to operational drivers
Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to operate at both strategic and transactional levels
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Clear and confident verbal and written communication skills, including executive-level presentations
Highly motivated, self-directed, and adaptable in a fast-paced, growing organization
Preferred
Prior experience in energy services or project-based environments preferred
Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting platforms preferred
Experience with Power Query and Power BI strongly preferred
Prior experience mentoring or guiding finance/accounting staff is a plus
