Director of Reimbursement
StevenDouglas is representing a client seeking a Director of Reimbursement with experience in the DME space. The role involves leading the Accounts Receivable department and developing revenue cycle strategies to meet financial goals and operational benchmarks.
Responsibilities
Provide leadership and oversight to the Accounts Receivable and ancillary teams
Develop and execute the organization’s revenue cycle strategy to meet financial goals and operational benchmarks
Establish KPIs and performance dashboards to monitor efficiency and outcomes
Drive initiatives for continuous process improvement and technology optimization (EHR, billing platforms, automation tools)
Monitor changes in reimbursement regulations, trends, and technologies
Analyze payer denial and reimbursement trends and identify opportunities for improvement
Facilitate the resolution of reimbursement issues between payers and providers
Mentor and develop staff, create an environment that fosters growth and continuous improvement
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement
Develop policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable reimbursement regulations and contractual requirements
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must have at least five to eight years' experience leading an Accounts Receivable department, or healthcare reimbursement operation
Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills
Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration abilities
Proven track record with improving KPI's and driving process improvement
Ability to manage complex workflows and lead organizational change initiatives
A strong work ethic and desire to serve our referral sources and patients is essential
Preferred
Multi-site managerial experience in a healthcare services company is strongly preferred
Managerial experience at a complex respiratory company is highly desired
