Controls Technician

Responsibilities
Support Manufacturing Engineering in the development of standards and specifications, including a complete purchase parts list related to controls systems
Plan and implement improvements within Assembly related to the specific controls systems
Participate in cross-functional project teams supporting activities related to controls issues
Provide technical support for controls systems during the introduction of new models
Ensure proper controls specific documentation delivery from the Original Equipment Manufacturer
Provide technical support to Assembly for resolving controls related issues
Support the Assembly Department Technical Training and Development program by conducting training classes, providing technical documentation, etc
Supervise the assembly and installation as well as assemble and installs new equipment and is able to make modifications to existing equipment as requested
Perform other duties as required
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or Technical Apprenticeship with Certification or Journeyman Card; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum 4 years of automated manufacturing technical experience required
Experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs, Fanuc and Kuka Robotics
Frequent standing, walking, and lifting
Physically fit and able to lift 50 pounds
Must stand 8+ hours a day
