Responsibilities

Work directly with Axalta Scientists on a well-defined project to develop new products, improve manufacturing processes, or solve customer issues

Be expected to perform your own work which may be focused on polymer synthesis, paint formulations, or advanced analytical chemistry instrumentation

Have frequent opportunities for direct interaction with our global internal manufacturing and marketing groups, as well as our external automotive customers

Prepare and present a report summarizing your project work at the end of your co-op experience

Required

Candidates must be working toward an undergraduate or master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field at Drexel University

Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future

Candidates must show demonstrated ability to learn on the job

Candidates must be an effective problem solver with strong analytical skills

Candidates must be results oriented and a self-starter

Candidates must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Candidates must be proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
