Sales Director

Responsibilities

Execute sales strategies aligned with Eagle’s goals to drive revenue, market share, and distribution
Manage assigned accounts by developing tailored business plans and promotional strategies that support DMSP (Distribution, Merchandising, Shelving, Pricing) principles
Identify opportunities for growth through expanded distribution, increased shelf presence, and improved execution of promotional plans
Support category insights and retail execution through data-driven analysis and collaboration with customer category teams
Build strong working relationships with customer teams and internal partners to ensure alignment and responsiveness to customer needs
Lead and influence agency partners (brokers) to drive executional excellence, ensuring delivery of volume, trade spend efficiency, and KPI attainment
Manage trade funds within assigned budgets, ensuring decisions maximize return on investment and align with Revenue Growth Management (RGM) principles
Support demand forecasting processes by working cross-functionally with the Demand Planning team to ensure inventory alignment with customer activity
Analyze market trends, performance data, and promotional effectiveness to inform decision-making and optimize customer plans
Set performance KPIs, monitor execution, and adjust plans as needed to achieve goals
Prepare regular performance reports and customer reviews with strategic recommendations to internal stakeholders
Collaborate closely with Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Trade Marketing, and Category Management to execute integrated go-to-market strategies
Act as a liaison between customer teams and Eagle’s internal departments to ensure flawless execution of programs
Operate independently in a dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities while maintaining a focus on results
Lead project-based initiatives and cross-functional efforts to enhance customer performance
Demonstrate strong time management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Required

Minimum 2 years in a similar customer-facing sales role, ideally within CPG or retail channels
Proven ability to manage medium to high-strategic accounts and lead agency partners effectively
Strong mix of tactical execution and strategic insight—capable of balancing daily operational needs with longer-term planning
Experience working in a cross-functional environment with moderate to high levels of collaboration and influence
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field required
5–10 years of CPG sales experience
Minimum 5 years of experience managing sales agencies (brokers)
Strong understanding of dry grocery (center store) categories
Proficient in analyzing syndicated data and market trends (e.g., Nielsen, IRI)
Strong business acumen with ability to turn insights into actionable plans
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to engage and influence cross-functional teams and external partners
Must reside within the assigned geography
Willing to travel up to 40% as needed to support customer and market needs

Preferred

Prior experience in large CPG and/or private equity-backed companies is a plus
Experience managing both branded and private label portfolios preferred
