The Information Communication Technician (ICT) Apprentice will support the efficient operation of IT and telecommunications infrastructure, providing technical support and optimizing digital systems for business performance and security.

Construction

Responsibilities

Provide technical support to internal and external customers via various communication channels
Diagnose and troubleshoot ICT problems and faults using appropriate methodologies and tools
Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and software systems
Apply security policies and procedures in line with organisational requirements
Communicate technical issues and solutions to stakeholders with varying levels of technical knowledge
Monitor and report ICT system performance to identify areas for improvement
Document support tasks, findings, and actions taken to ensure a clear audit trail
Participate in system upgrades, testing, and rollouts of new applications
Support and maintain cloud-based services and virtual networks
Implement backup and disaster recovery procedures to protect data integrity

Required

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Good communication and customer service abilities
Ability to work independently and within a team
Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
Basic understanding of IT systems, networks, and troubleshooting techniques
Experience with software installation and configuration
Knowledge of cloud computing and network security
Familiarity with IT support ticketing systems
English and Maths at GCSE Grade 4 / C or above, or Functional Skills at Level 2 or above
Living in England for the last 3 years and have right to work status
Not enrolled on any other courses
18+ due to site H&S rules
Not hold a higher qualification in the same field
