Responsibilities
The job is a standing/sitting job requiring the operation of a grid/lumbar assembly machine. The machine processes straight wire to form a mat, which is used in the assembly of automotive seating
The operator is responsible for producing quality product and must be able to identify such. If necessary, the operator must be able to notify appropriate person to fix machine
Performs any other duties required in pursuance of the function of this position or as directed
Basic knowledge of hand tools and use
Qualification
Required
Sufficient dexterity and mechanical understanding to operate an automated machine
Ability to understand instruction both verbal and written
Sufficient aptitude to identify proper product quality
Ability to lift objects not to exceed 70 pounds
Ability to roll drums weighing 500 pounds
Basic understanding of and full compliance with all standard safety practices
The willingness to be involved in ongoing skills improvement classes and efforts of which are included TS-16949, Kaizen, and SMED
