Responsibilities
Performs routine cost estimating, analysis, and control activities, as directed
Supports the implementation of cost monitoring and control standards, techniques, systems, and reports
Assists with budget allocation and reporting/cost control for specific construction discipline or group of disciplines
Supports the preparation of cost data for proposals or contracts
Assists in the development of quantity takeoffs for a specific discipline or specialty
Assists in developing specific project codes of accounts and recommends appropriate modifications and revisions
Supports the project trend program
Assists in the development and application of unit rates (cost and job hours) to quantity takeoffs
Qualification
Required
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience
Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing cost engineering functions, which include cost estimating, cost control, and cost analysis, in the field and the home office
Proficiency with PC operating systems, with proficiency in several software applications. (Ecosys, PowerBI and Microsoft Office Applications, for example)
Statistical knowledge in the areas of sampling, distributions, probability, and hypothesis testing for metrics
Knowledge of supervision, personnel administration, and training of technical and nontechnical personnel
Skilled in oral and written communication
Knowledge of financial reporting systems and controller account codes, and an understanding of Controller instructions
