Responsibilities
Develop, enhance, and maintain applications written in Smalltalk
Analyze existing codebases and implement enhancements, fixes, and performance improvements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions
Troubleshoot application issues and provide root-cause analysis
Support system upgrades, integrations, and ongoing maintenance activities
Document technical designs, code changes, and support procedures
Qualification
Required
8+ years of hands-on Smalltalk development experience
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles
Experience working with enterprise or legacy systems
Ability to debug, refactor, and optimize existing codebases
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and collaboration abilities
Preferred
Experience with financial services or large-scale enterprise applications
Exposure to modernization or migration initiatives
Familiarity with version control and Agile development practices
