Software Engineer
CDM Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer I, an entry-level role focused on supporting and enhancing a custom web-based internal portal. The position involves collaborating with a development team to maintain and improve applications while working directly with internal users for various support tasks.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, debug, and document software solutions to business needs while following established SDLC standards and engineering practices
Contribute to feature enhancements and defect fixes in a production environment
Participate in peer code reviews
Collaborate with analysts, QA, and stakeholders to help ensure applications remain reliable, secure, and maintainable
Support releases by following team CI/CD workflows (automated build/test/release pipelines) and maintaining clear technical documentation
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in object-oriented programming with C# and modern .NET, building web apps and APIs (ASP.NET Core/MVC or similar)
Proficiency in consuming/creating RESTful services (JSON, authentication concepts)
Working knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals, HTML, CSS, and common web debugging practices; familiarity with legacy SOAP integrations is a plus
Experience with relational databases and SQL (SQL Server preferred), including basic schema awareness and query troubleshooting
Comfort with Git-based source control, issue tracking, and collaborative team workflows
Understanding of unit/integration testing and secure coding basics; willingness to learn team standards for Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery, automated testing, and release readiness
Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks, deliver on schedule, communicate status clearly, and work effectively with both technical teammates and non-technical internal users
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
2+ years of professional experience, or equivalent combined education/experience, or a related Master's degree with no experience
Must reside within 50 miles of Turnersville, NJ, and be a U.S. Citizen
