Responsibilities
Supervising Transportation Engineers and/or Transportation Engineering Technicians
Oversees and manages all activities related to managed lanes
Leads the investigation, monitoring, and analysis of state highway system performance within Los Angeles and Ventura Counties
Manages the unit’s budget, allocations, expenditures, training, personnel matters, and overall performance
Qualification
Required
Possession of a valid driver's license is required when operating a State owned or leased vehicle
Provide examples of when you lead multi-disciplinary professional staff to achieve division performance target and departmental strategic goals
Describe your ability to communicate well orally and in writing, and your experience in working and collaborating with internal and external partners. Provide examples of engagement that require public speaking and presentation
Describe your knowledge in legislations, laws, policies, and guidelines pertaining to the duties of this position; and your experience/ qualifications that will enable you to perform successfully as the managed lane and system performance senior transportation engineer
Describe your ability to effectively apply logic and sound judgement in decision making and problem solving, considering acceptable level of risks under challenging and politically sensitive situations
