Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain large-scale data engineering solutions on distributed big data platforms

Build and optimize batch and streaming data pipelines handling very high data volumes

Write efficient, production-grade SQL and implement data transformations using a high-level programming language

Work with structured and semi-structured data to produce curated, analytics-ready datasets

Troubleshoot complex data, performance, and pipeline failures using logs, metrics, and system diagnostics

Implement and follow CI/CD practices for data and code deployments

Ensure solutions meet enterprise security, governance, and compliance standards

Take full ownership of assigned execution tasks, reducing workload for full-time engineers

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on requirements, timelines, and delivery expectations

Deliver high-priority work reliably while meeting tight fiscal and business deadlines

Qualification

Required

5–7 years of experience in large-scale data engineering or backend data systems

Strong experience with distributed big data platforms and processing frameworks

Advanced SQL skills for complex querying, optimization, and data validation

Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language such as Python, Scala, Java, or C#

Hands-on experience building, debugging, and maintaining production data pipelines

Strong troubleshooting skills across data, code, and infrastructure layers

Experience working in CI/CD-driven engineering environments

Ability to ramp up quickly and execute tasks independently with minimal supervision

Experience working in structured, enterprise-grade engineering environments

Preferred

Prior experience working within large, highly regulated enterprise data platforms

Familiarity with cloud-based data ecosystems and distributed compute environments

Experience handling telemetry, event-driven, or time-series data at scale

Strong understanding of data quality, validation, and reliability engineering practices

Demonstrated ability to balance speed, quality, and governance requirements

Experience collaborating across geographically distributed teams and time zones
