Responsibilities

Provides administrative and user support for research-related applications

Serves as a liaison between research teams, IT, and system vendors, ensuring smooth operations, user training, and metric reporting across multiple research applications

Focuses on system administration tasks that do not require extensive technical expertise but demand strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills

Required

Associate's degree in Biological/Life Sciences, Business Administration, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or a related field

2 years research (clinical and/or administration) or software applications support

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and basic data entry/reporting

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and provide exceptional customer service

Demonstrated ability to gather, assemble, interpret, and use complex data to develop actionable steps that will improve processes and optimize results

Team building and change management

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Biological/Life Sciences, Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Science, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or a related field

3 years of experience administering research applications, databases, or related systems in a healthcare setting

Experience with research applications such as REDCap, electronic data capture (EDC) tools, or clinical trial management systems (CTMS) including survey design and project setup

Experience working with electronic health record (EHR) data and research data governance

Experience generating usage and support reports

Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as HIPAA and Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocols

Project Management/Strategic Planning

Policy/Standard Operating Procedure Writing/Maintenance

Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or similar tools for data management and analytics

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate research needs into system functionality

Basic knowledge and understanding of the regulatory, operational, logistical, and administrative requirements of clinical research studies

General understanding of medical terminology

Demonstrated ability to train individuals and provide education to small groups
