Allied World is seeking a Senior Underwriter for their Excess Casualty team, responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of general casualty business. This role involves underwriting discipline, marketing, and servicing retail clients with a focus on construction, real estate, and products liability risks.

Responsibilities

Perform account analysis according to Allied World (US) General Casualty guidelines

Develop account pricing, structure and terms and make recommendations

Perform and document referrals

Prepare quotes, binders, and underwriting worksheets within company guidelines

Maintain files in an orderly manner consistent with company guidelines

Delegate and supervise work to Account Coordinators as needed

Attend client meetings, lunches, dinners, and other social outings as applicable

Market to retailers within assigned region and engage production meetings

Work with Legal department for manuscript wording analysis and preparation as needed

Ability to interact with senior management on referral items, and willingness to train and work with UW Trainee and Junior Underwriters
