Responsibilities
Direct and manage factory induction heat treat operations processes
Operate in a team environment, both within factories and with suppliers, acting as a technical lead person
Support Factory and Division materials engineering
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of batch carburizing and induction heat treat process, procedures and variables
Knowledge of drawing and schematic interpretation, product models, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
Knowledge of materials engineering and engineering mechanics
Technical knowledge to conduct destructive and non-destructive testing and evaluation of materials
Competency in metal failure analysis
B.S. Metallurgical or Materials Engineering or higher
Preferred
Understanding of six sigma tools, methodology and a willingness to use the tools
Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%
Ability and willingness to work off-shift hours to support operations as needed
