Insight Global is seeking to hire a Test Technician at a large aerospace company. This hands-on technician role supports mechanical testing of components and executing a variety of mechanical tests such as wear, fatigue, tensile, and creep under simulated engine conditions.

Responsibilities

Support mechanical testing of components
Executing a variety of mechanical tests such as wear, fatigue, tensile, and creep under simulated engine conditions
Analyze failed parts
Assist in root cause investigations
Ensure accurate test execution and documentation
Supporting lifecycle testing
Troubleshooting equipment issues
Maintaining one-off test systems in a non-union environment
Particularly within the tribology lab where wear and fatigue behavior are evaluated

Qualification

Mechanical testingTroubleshootingHydraulicsCADData analysisCollaborationProblem solving

Required

3+ years of experience in a mechanical environment with at least an associate's degree
Required backgrounds: Automotive mechanic, machinist, machine shop, fabrications, hands on mechanical hobbies
Must be a great collaborator and problem solver

Preferred

Experience with Hydraulics
CAD experience
Data analysis or automation experience
Controls system experience
