Payroll Specialist – multi state
HKA Enterprises is seeking a Payroll Specialist to support the payroll department. The Payroll Specialist will compile and record employee time and payroll data, calculate wages, and process direct deposits while ensuring the accuracy of payroll information.
Responsibilities
Compiles payroll data such as garnishments, vacation time, insurance, and 401(k) deductions
Review employee time sheets and verify the information for completeness and accuracy
Contact various client supervisors for any missed times or incomplete data
Process weekly transfer of payroll data for direct deposit to payroll system
Compile internal management reports from payroll system software
Calculates client bill rates based on employee pay rates and hours worked
Qualification
Required
One to three years of payroll experience is required
Ability to demonstrate technical computer proficiency (Specifically 10-Key and Microsoft Excel)
Ability to communicate proficiently
Ability to demonstrate time management
Ability to be punctual and to maintain time management
Detail oriented and thorough work requirements
Ability to display integrity and to keep personal information confidential
