Responsibilities

Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, students, faculty, & staff
Provide administrative support for the department
Answer the department’s phone and email account
Purchase office supplies, textbooks, regalia, etc
Assist faculty and staff with special projects
Reconcile procurement and travel cards
Conduct expense reports & reimbursements
Submit scholarships
Maintain physical spaces by making recommendations for improvement and coordinating any needed repairs
Develop procedures to support degree audits, student advising, and management of student records
Perform program research and data collection to compile reports for departmental, campus and external agencies including accreditation reviews
Collect data and monitor the progress of meeting Student Learning Measures (SLM) for accreditation
Help coordinate and execute events alongside other staff members
Work 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday

Required

Bachelor's degree with a major in business, sociology, public administration, or related field from an accredited institution of higher education
At least one year of experience in program administration or related area
At least two years working in an administrative role in higher education
Previous experience using University of Arkansas software such as Workday, Slate, R25, etc
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, such as Excel, Word, etc
At least two years of event or conference coordination experience OR academic advising experience
Knowledge of program degree requirements and equivalencies
Knowledge of campus and community resources
Knowledge of state, federal, and campus rules, regulations, and requirements related to campus academic and social programs
Ability to handle records, materials, and issues in a discreet and confidential manner
Ability to provide a consistently high level of courteous, professional, and cheerful customer service to internal and external constituents
Ability to evaluate collected information and formulate into recommendations
Ability to compile information into report form
Ability to execute projects in a timely manner within budget and following policies for compliance
