Temporary HR Administrative Assistant

Harris County is seeking a Temporary HR Administrative Assistant to represent Human Resources and provide administrative support to the Elections Department. The role involves handling requests, processing payroll, and assisting election staff with various tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

Assist in the daily workflow of Human Resources within the Elections Department by handling requests that are received via telephone calls and via email
Support and assist the HR department with Election workers and Temporary staff
Assist and process time sheets for Election workers and temporary employees
Assist and process payroll for Election Workers
Assist election staff with various tasks as needed

Required

High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent from an accredited educational institution
At least one (1) year of clerical experience
Must possess the ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information
Must be able to work overtime without prior notice and work flexible hours as required
Must be willing to travel to any destination required to participate or assist with office projects (such as Elections)
Must be able to work without direct supervision, have good analytical and organizational skills and must possess excellent verbal/written communication skills
