Responsibilities
Inspect and clean precision optical components using established procedures
Utilize precision measuring equipment to qualify parts
Perform dimensional and surface metrology using standard measurement equipment and advanced systems, Including: Profilometer, Interferometers, Other optical precision measurement equipment
Interpret and apply basic blueprint reading skills for inspection
Train and teach suppliers on internal quality standards and expectations
Engage in direct customer interactions regarding quality matters
Handle sensitive optical materials with care and precision
Sit for extended periods while performing repetitive tasks
Travel occasionally to vendor sites for audits and support
Qualification
Required
Minimum of Three (3) years of experience in a quality, inspection, metrology, similar manufacturing role, or equivalent experience
Strong understanding of quality systems and standards, including ISO and internal quality procedures
Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions within defined responsibilities
Ability to use relevant computer applications: MS Office, MS Outlook
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to read and understand both optical and traditional blueprints
Must have strong attention to detail
Preferred
Experience working with optical components and precision-manufactured parts preferred
