Responsibilities

Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial strategy aligned with the company's growth objectives, targeting medical device OEMs across therapeutic areas including surgical robotics, cardiovascular devices, neuromodulation, diabetes management, patient monitoring, and diagnostic imaging
Build and scale a high-performing commercial organization spanning business development, account management, marketing, and customer success, establishing processes, metrics, and talent development programs to drive consistent revenue growth and customer retention
Lead enterprise-level business development efforts with strategic customers, leveraging deep understanding of medical device product development cycles, regulatory pathways (FDA 510k, PMA, CE Mark), quality systems (ISO 13485), and supply chain considerations to position the company as the partner of choice for complex medical electronics programs
Drive market positioning and brand strategy, articulating the company's unique value proposition in contract design and manufacturing services including electronic design, mechanical engineering, embedded software, regulatory support, prototyping, verification and validation, transfer to manufacturing, and full-scale production
Establish strategic partnerships with medical device innovators, private equity firms, venture capital investors, and industry consortiums to build a robust pipeline of opportunities and position the company at the forefront of emerging medtech trends
Collaborate with engineering, operations, quality, and regulatory teams to ensure seamless customer experience from initial engagement through program delivery, establishing feedback loops that drive continuous improvement in service delivery and customer satisfaction
Develop pricing strategies, commercial terms, and contract structures that balance competitive positioning with profitability objectives across diverse program types ranging from early-stage development partnerships to high-volume manufacturing relationships
Represent the company at major industry conferences, trade shows, and customer events, building relationships with key decision-makers at medical device companies and establishing thought leadership in the contract manufacturing space
Lead quarterly business reviews, pipeline management, and forecasting processes, providing accurate visibility into commercial performance and growth trajectory to the board of directors and executive leadership team

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related technical field required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred
Minimum 15 years of progressive commercial leadership experience in the medical device industry with at least 10 years in senior leadership roles with direct responsibility for revenue generation and team development
Proven track record of building and scaling commercial organizations in B2B environments, with demonstrated success achieving significant revenue growth targets in the $50M to $500M+ range
Deep understanding of medical device product development processes, regulatory requirements, quality systems, and the contract manufacturing ecosystem, with established relationships across the medical device industry
Experience working with or within contract design and manufacturing organizations, engineering services firms, or medical device OEMs with strong technical product portfolios
Demonstrated ability to engage and influence C-suite executives, board members, and senior decision-makers at medical device companies, with exceptional presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities
Strategic mindset with ability to translate market insights and customer needs into actionable commercial strategies while maintaining operational rigor in execution and accountability

Preferred

Experience in high-growth, private equity-backed or venture-backed organizations navigating rapid scaling and market expansion
Background in medical electronics, electromechanical devices, or connected health technologies with understanding of hardware, software, and systems integration
International business development experience with understanding of global regulatory environments and market dynamics across North America, Europe, and Asia
Established network within the medical device innovation ecosystem including relationships with venture capital firms, strategic acquirers, and emerging medtech companies
Track record of successful M&A integration or partnership development activities that accelerated commercial growth
