Responsibilities
Lead and oversee all operational functions including manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, logistics, quality assurance, and customer service
Drive operational efficiency, cost optimization, and margin improvement across the organization
Ensure compliance with all food safety, regulatory, and quality standards (FDA, USDA, GFSI, HACCP, etc.)
Partner with the CEO to execute company strategy and support long-term growth initiatives
Build, mentor, and lead high-performing operational teams across multiple functions and locations
Implement KPIs, dashboards, and performance management systems to drive accountability and continuous improvement
Manage capacity planning, production scalability, and capital investments
Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Finance to support innovation, private label growth, and customer expansion
Lead process improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies preferred)
Support M&A integration, new facility launches, and operational transitions as needed
Qualification
Required
10+ years of senior operational leadership experience, preferably as COO, VP of Operations, or similar role
Strong background in food manufacturing or closely related regulated industries
Proven experience scaling operations in a growth-oriented company
Deep understanding of supply chain management, manufacturing efficiency, and food safety compliance
Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and operational P&L impact
Bachelor's degree required
Preferred
Experience working with private equity or founder-led organizations is a plus
MBA or advanced degree preferred
Lead process improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies preferred)
