MindSource is seeking a hands-on Senior Systems Engineer to support the development, integration, testing, and customer support of next-generation sequencing (NGS) platforms. This role works closely with cross-functional R&D teams to advance sequencing technologies used in diagnostics and life sciences applications.

Responsibilities

Develop and support NGS workflows, including sample prep, library prep, and sequencing
Execute wet-lab experiments and analyze experimental data
Perform system integration, verification, and validation testing
Troubleshoot prototype instruments and support customer runs
Document results, write SOPs, and support continuous improvement

Required

B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Science, Engineering, or related field
1–5 years of relevant experience
Hands-on wet-lab experience with PCR and NGS workflows
Experience with Python, MATLAB, or similar data analysis tools
Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams

Preferred

3+ years of hands-on NGS experience (sample prep, library prep, sequencing)
Experience with prototype instruments, medical devices, or biotech R&D
DOE and statistical analysis experience
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
