Responsibilities
Provides shift to shift oversight for clinical practice, staffing, patient flow, safety, service, and utilization of resources for daily operations
Maintains the environment of care
Provides care to patients in a competent, capable, caring, and efficient manner
The care provided is appropriate to the age of the patients
Role models organizational values
Provides real-time feedback to staff to improve performance
Leads/Participates in department process improvement to improve projects outcomes
Facilitates employee engagement activities including professional/shared governance participation
Assumes responsibility and accountability for participating as part of the clinical information system team, performing liaison duties associated with the implementation, support, and maintenance for all aspects of the clinical information system
This position provides continual education to facility employees and physicians, problem tracking, resolution, on-going enhancement requests; active participation in system testing, workflow redesign, change management
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in health information technology, computer science, or a related field
Minimum of three years' information services or super-user experience
Comfortable and confident interacting with physicians and clinicians at all levels
Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office applications required
Language proficiency in English, with excellent written and oral communication skills
Exhibits or has performed in a leadership role
Clinical knowledge required
May be required to travel to other locations
Preferred
Direct patient care experience preferred
Extensive working knowledge of clinical information systems (Cerner preferred) showing progressively increasing responsibilities
Appropriate licensure preferred
