Responsibilities

Lead and support a team of drafting and design professionals

Help them stay organized, productive, and on track to meet project deadlines

Look for ways to improve how we work

Refining processes, boosting equipment performance, or enhancing the quality of our output

Work closely with your team to interpret firm policies, blueprints, specifications, and job orders

Assign tasks and guide them through each project

Tackle staff challenges, help motivate the team, and make recommendations on personnel actions like promotions or transfers

Interview and onboard new hires

Train employees

Maintain accurate time and production records

Estimate revenue and project costs

Coordinate with Project Managers to align department activities with company goals

Pitch in wherever needed to keep things running smoothly
