Responsibilities

Design and develop infrastructure projects, such as roads, bridges, and buildings, ensuring safety and efficiency

Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with design specifications

Evaluate structural systems like steel members, reinforced concrete, composite steel

Resolve technical issues for building structure design, fabrication , assembly and construction phases

Technical justification for design changes and emergent issues and troubleshooting

On-site support at utilities, sites and smaller projects

Use ANSYS, LS-DYNA, GTSTRUDL

Maintain software compliance records and closure of engineering corrective actions

Learn industry civil/structural codes and standards like ACI, AISC, ASCE and AWS

Sketches and markups using AutoCAD or similar CAD

Document design change proposals, document revisions, new documents and drawing generation

Qualification

Civil/Structural EngineeringDesign EngineeringANSYSLS-DYNAGTSTRUDLFE/EIT CertificationPE CertificationAutoCADTechnical TroubleshootingSite Visits

Required

Bachelor's degree in civil or structural Engineering

8+ years of experience civil/structural

Civil/structural evaluations, design engineering

Interested in nuclear and interested in pursuing FE/EIT, PE certification

Tools such as ANSYS, LS-DYNA, GTSTRUDL or similar
