Senior LevelJefferson Health is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Research Tenure Track as a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine. The role involves leading independent research, securing funding, mentoring trainees, and collaborating within a multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities
Lead and conduct independent, externally funded clinical or translational research in a relevant area (e.g., health services research, emergency systems, disparities, informatics, implementation science)
Publish in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals and present at national and international conferences
Secure extramural funding (NIH, AHRQ, DoD, PCORI, foundations)
Mentor trainees and junior faculty on research design and support conduct of research projects
Collaborate across departments, centers, and research institutes at Jefferson and beyond
Engage in quality improvement, safety, and innovation initiatives across the department
Collaborate within a multidisciplinary environment that includes residents, medical students, nurses, and subspecialists
Participate in education of residents and medical students
Qualification
Required
Advanced research training (e.g., MPH, MS, PhD, or comparable experience)
Demonstrated excellence in clinical emergency medicine practice
A clear trajectory of scholarly productivity and potential for external funding
Experience or interest in mentoring, team science, and academic collaboration
