Responsibilities

Serve as the primary technical authority for assigned data center projects, supporting design development through construction and commissioning

Lead technical coordination across electrical, mechanical, fire protection, controls, and IT infrastructure systems

Review and validate design documents, submittals, RFIs, and change orders for technical accuracy and constructability

Partner closely with engineering, project management, construction, and commissioning teams to resolve technical challenges

Support value engineering initiatives while maintaining performance, reliability, and redundancy requirements

Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements (NFPA, NEC, ASHRAE, Uptime Institute, etc.)

Participate in technical planning meetings, design reviews, and client-facing discussions

Oversee system integration, testing plans, commissioning readiness, and turnover documentation

Identify technical risks early and implement mitigation strategies to protect schedule and cost

Support lessons learned, standardization, and continuous improvement efforts across data center programs

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field) or equivalent experience

8+ years of experience supporting data center construction or mission-critical facilities

Strong knowledge of data center electrical and mechanical systems, including power distribution, cooling, UPS, generators, and controls

Experience supporting large-scale, fast-paced construction environments

Proven ability to lead technical discussions with clients, consultants, and contractors

Strong understanding of construction documentation, sequencing, and commissioning processes

Preferred

Experience working on hyperscale or colocation data center projects

Familiarity with commissioning processes and integrated systems testing (IST)

Experience with BIM, Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction platforms

Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification a plus
