Responsibilities
Commission new installations of meters and metering systems
Coordinate with the data center to verify remote reading capabilities of systems
Diagnose installation errors and meter defects quickly and accurately
Determine appropriate actions for improperly installed, damaged, or defective meters
Provide detailed service reports in the reporting system
Respond to emergency disconnect/reconnect requests and other service needs outside regular work hours
From time to time, this position may require overtime hours including being on-call on weekends
Maintain a professional demeanor when working with clients, contractors, maintenance staff, property managers, and tenants
Qualification
Required
Valid NY Driver's License and good standing with Zipcar
OSHA 30 and SST 10 certifications
Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
Exceptional organization and customer service skills
Hands-on experience testing and repairing electrical devices or installations
Ability to use a voltmeter and basic hand tools
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
Preferred
Technical associate degree or equivalent experience in electrical work, electronics repair, or a similar field
Leadership or project management experience
Familiarity with software diagnostics and serial communication terminals
