Responsibilities
Installs and optimizes hardware/software/network products and configurations at customer sites
Diagnoses and resolves product performance problems
Performs maintenance and repairs
Ensures customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventive maintenance and configurations that may affect product performance
Proactively responds to potential equipment issues to prevent unplanned interruption of customers' business
Deliver fully integrated solutions, which may include peripherals, communications, operating systems, and applications software
May train other field engineers and customers in the solutions
May qualify leads
Candidate must be willing and able to travel overnight
Must consent to participate and meet Agilent-approved customer/vendor credentialing requirements necessary to gain access to customer sites. Requirements may include, but are not limited to, proof of identification, proof of certification to perform the work required, customer health and safety requirements, etc
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or master's degree within the science field – e.g., chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, or similar, or relevant work experience
1-2+ years of experience as a field service representative or experience as an end user of the spectroscopy and liquid chromatography instrumentation
Experience with troubleshooting and problem-solving
Verbal and written communication is clear, respectful, and timely
This is a field position, and the candidate is expected to travel and visit customers with the ability to travel up to 30% within the territory
Valid Driver's License required
Preferred
Spectroscopy and/or Liquid Chromatography background with instruments such as a Cary UV-Vis, an Agilent 3500 UV-Vis, an FTIR, and 1260/1290 LC is highly preferred
Experience with the Agilent solutions is desired but not essential
