Responsibilities
Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from creating a comprehensive scope of work for all projects to performing final walkthroughs
Manage project timelines, budgets, and quality control
Provide project management assistance through completion of projects on time and under budget
Manage resources and develop assigned staff toward maximum job performance and project quality
Help create, review, negotiate, and works with the project team to process the meeting minutes, Change Orders, Acceptance criteria, and requests for information
Establish, communicate, negotiate and implement the Project Schedule
Interpret and analyze reports to ensure adherence to project budget
Develop a thorough understanding of the details of the project and its contracts
Manage the Quality Assurance/Quality Control program to adhere to our Quality Control System
Provide leadership in risk evaluation, contract negotiations, and escalation when needed
Communication is key and you will be required to have strong written and oral communication skills
Demonstrable ability to evaluate and translate a customer’s business goals, objectives, and strategies into technical plans and solutions
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customer and stakeholders to manage expectations and project risks
Sound knowledge to enable projects to meet the agreed objectives, and ability to track and report on key project metrics, relationship to business objectives, and other success criteria in a clear and compelling manner
Ability to recognize opportunities and to highlight these with our Sales team
Be self-motivated, a proactive problem solver, team-oriented with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; setting priorities for themselves and their delivery teams
Qualification
Required
5+ years of proven experience in technology companies in a Project Management capacity
Proven track record of successful customer facing project management delivering technical solutions within the required timeframes and to budget

A bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), geography, surveying, cartography, Computer Science, engineering, information technology, project management or related field of study; and minimum of 5 years' related experience; or any combination of education, training and experience
Knowledge and experience working with Agile project methodologies and how they apply to projects
Experience in managing the delivery of Systems Integration projects, SaaS / PaaS, location-based projects
Experience of working with and managing 3rd parties (e.g. contractors or 3rd party organizations)
Experience of working within long-term frameworks consisting of various potentially simultaneous projects
Willingness and ability to travel to customer site or to 1Spatial offices, if required
Preferred
Experience in the geospatial industry is a plus
PMP certification is highly desirable
Proficiency with project and development management tools, e.g. Microsoft Project, Jira and PSA/Salesforce is highly desirable
Familiarity with ISO 9001 would be beneficial, so would having other ISO certifications such as that for Information Security (27001)
