Operational Excellence Leader
Comptech Associates is seeking a Med Device Operational Excellence Leader to lead the strategy, planning, and implementation of continuous improvement and operational excellence across their operations. This role is crucial for ensuring the sustainable delivery of safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity goals while building the organization's continuous improvement capabilities and culture.
Responsibilities
Values and drives our Core Values (Safety and Health, Respect for People, Highest Ethical Behavior and Protecting the Planet) and sets the example through consistent communications and behaviors
Establishes and drives the strategic direction and initiatives for Operational Excellence for the LoB aligned to the strategic needs of the enterprise; collaborates with business and functional leaders to identify needs and build alignment
Builds sustainable process rigor to deliver on SQDIP goals for the LoB
Partners with Plant, Supply Chain and Contract Manufacturing leaders to maintain a coherent, integrated roadmap and Kaizen funnel for continuous improvement across the LoB
Leads the deployment of tools and best practices to drive continuous improvement and ensures implementation of operational and management standards consistent with the Business System. Uses metrics to manage performance and drive to best in class results
Builds the capabilities of LoB operations leaders and team members to identify, plan and implement continuous improvement opportunities
Collaborates with the central Global Opex team to identify best practices and leverage subject matter expertise
Supports the IOL in leading monthly operating reviews to identify and drive improvement opportunities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in operations / engineering-related discipline
10 years of experience in Manufacturing environment including operational leadership roles
Strong proficiency with continuous improvement / operational excellence methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)
Leads change and experienced with Management of Change (MoC) processes
Balanced leadership in developing Strategy, driving Execution and exhibiting Inspiration
Proven ability to influence at all organizational levels and demonstrates effective communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in a diverse team environment with respectful collaboration is essential
Highly motivated problem solver capable of strategic and tactical thinking
Willingness to travel to manufacturing sites globally, with a travel expectation of ~50%
Demonstrated ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution and inspire talent at all levels
Flexible and collaborative management approach, adept at navigating complex organizational dynamics
Proven track record of delivering results
