The role involves managing certification projects, preparing documentation, and providing support to various teams to ensure product compliance with FAA requirements.

Responsibilities
Support, manage, and administer Certification projects ensuring timely and successful completion
Review Engineering drawings for certification/testing requirements
Create Test Plans; define specimens, arrange for testing, complete reports
Prepare FAA Certification documentation packages and reports to support various projects
Maintain proper tracking and status updates of Certification projects, ensuring that all necessary information is documented and up to date
Complete and submit applications for PMA approval from FAA
Complete flammability test reports to FAA standards
Research FAA requirements on line
Liaise with customers; making recommendations for test requirements
Provide Engineering guidance for design changes (i.e. change foam/fabric composition)
Complete Engineering change review & approval process
Ensure a high level of customer service is delivered to all customers
Maintain work area in a clean, orderly, and safe manner
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within department
Recognize your role as part of the Company’s Quality Objective
Follow established policies and procedures in support of the Company’s Quality and AS9100 standards
Act within expected Company standards including Quality/AS9100 initiatives and environmental, health, and safety matters
Other job related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
BS Degree in Engineering (BSME a plus)
2-5 years of experience in the aerospace industry
2-5 years of experience in FAA certification
Working knowledge of FAA / EASA regulations and certification processes
Comprehensive working knowledge of engineering principles, repairs, and fabrication practices
Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and complete assignments on time
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organization skills; ability to prioritize
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work with diverse teams to ensure successful completion of certification projects
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Preferred
BSME a plus
Working knowledge of CAD, AutoCAD-Inventor a plus
Manufacturing experience a plus
