The Accounting Manager is responsible for delivering accurate bookkeeping, preparing financial statements and tax returns, and providing clients with responsive and professional support.

Responsibilities
Maintain accurate client bookkeeping records and reconcile accounts
Prepare and review financial statements and management reports
Calculate taxes owed, prepare tax returns, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Assist with ad hoc client requests and provide responsive, professional client service
Support financial operations, identifying risks and recommending process improvements
Organize and track accounting projects, client files, and required documentation
Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and client questions
Collaborate with leadership on process improvements, quality standards, and efficiency initiatives
Perform general accounting support tasks such as mailings, filing, and preparation of client correspondence
Perform payroll tasks as necessary
Act as a backup to other accounting staff as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a combination of relevant education and experience
Experience in bookkeeping with strong accounting skills
Knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient with UltraTax, QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite, or similar software
Preferred
CPA certification is beneficial but not required
