Program Coordinator

Junior Achievement of Southeastern Michigan (JASEM) is dedicated to equipping young people with the knowledge and skills they need for economic success. The Program Coordinator plays a vital role in delivering programs to schools and community partners, coordinating logistics, supporting curriculum implementation, and ensuring a high-quality experience for students and partners.

Non-profit Organization Management

Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong relationships with educators and school administrators
Develop partnerships in five priority counties: Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Washtenaw, and Genesee
Organize program dates, times, and classroom needs with educators and internal teams
Prepare classrooms and materials for workshops and events
Confirm all program components (volunteers, curriculum, materials) prior to delivery
Track permission slips, media releases, and required documentation
Ensure educators receive accurate and complete program materials in advance
Provide guidance on curriculum implementation and troubleshoot issues
Assist with educator orientation and training sessions
Share best practices and resources to enhance program quality
Monitor program delivery to ensure JA standards are met
Collect feedback, testimonials, and impact stories for reporting
Facilitate JA programs in classrooms and at the JA office
Lead Junior Achievement Finance Park (JAFP) sessions

Required

Associate or bachelor's degree in education, human services, social work, OR related field (or equivalent experience working with youth)
Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills
Ability to work effectively with diverse socio-economic and cultural populations
Comfortable presenting to adults and youth
Driver's License and access to reliable transportation

Preferred

Two or more years of experience in nonprofit or K–12 education settings
Recruitment or sales experience
Familiarity with MS Teams and virtual collaboration tools
Experience with Justice, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging initiatives
Established relationships with area schools
