Amentum is launching people to the Moon and Mars, and they are seeking a Senior Software/Hardware Project Manager to oversee the development and delivery of cutting-edge products. The role involves managing cross-functional teams and ensuring timely and quality project delivery across the Command-and-Control Directorate.

Responsibilities

Perform the essential duties of Project Management to provide oversight and assist in managing all aspects of a project to include budget forecasting and work estimation

Utilize Project Management skills and experience in the management of Project Performance, Scope, Schedule, Budget, Risks, and Change Management

Demonstrate understanding of project scheduling development and resource loading to capture all work performed in executing the project lifecycle

Assist with the preparation of Project artifacts to include, but not limited to, project planning artifacts, project status reports, project briefs, etc

Schedule, facilitate, and document Project Team meetings

Exercise extensive participation in management planning; continuously demonstrates effort to improve overall operations; restructure immediate and long-range goals, objectives, and plans

Perform other related duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in computer or system science, information technology, engineering, or related discipline from an accredited institution

At least ten (10) years of direct progressive project management experience in software and hardware development and operations environments

PMP or other relevant project management certification highly desired

Proven track record of successfully managing large, complex projects, spanning multiple teams from start to finish as evidence by prior experiences

Strong expertise in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.), principles, and tools (JIRA, MS Project, etc.)

Deep understanding of software development lifecycles and hardware manufacturing processes

Exceptional leadership, communication, presentation, and organizational skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels

Ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment across multiple projects, while meeting or exceeding schedule expectations as well as maintaining superior product delivery

Must be able to coordinate work between multiple project disciplines

Must be self-motivated, demonstrate initiative, and be able to work independently with minimal supervision
