Responsibilities
Provide technical expertise and pre-sales support to the Commercial Sales team, including product demonstrations, presentations, and system design proposals
Collaborate with customers, shipyards, and government new construction programs to understand requirements and deliver customized marine solutions
Prepare and deliver AutoCAD system drawings, technical documentation, and proposals for new build and retrofit installations
Design and program marine CCTV, navigation, and communication systems, including site plans, rack layouts, and wiring diagrams
Work closely with internal engineering and service teams to support system integration and resolve technical issues
Qualification
Required
Proficient in AutoCAD and system design tools
Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Power Point
A strong knowledge of marine electronics products including radars, navigation equipment, GMDSS, gyro and steering, speed logs, etc
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Proficiency in presenting information and demonstrating products effectively
A focus on customer needs to ensure products and solutions meet their requirements
The ability to collaborate pleasantly, professionally, patiently, and effectively with all employees and customers of Mackay
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required
