Senior Talent Acquisition Consultant

The University of South Carolina is seeking a Senior Talent Acquisition Consultant to play a pivotal role in attracting and hiring top talent across the university. This role involves serving as a trusted partner to hiring managers and search committees, assisting in end-to-end recruitment efforts for a wide range of positions.

Responsibilities

Work closely with hiring managers to gain a comprehensive understanding of departmental operations and goals in order to identify staffing needs
Develop recruitment plans and design various recruitment strategies to assist in filling positions
Source potential candidates through online channels and data mining (e.g. social platforms and professional networks)
Design, foster, and maintain effective long-term relationships with applicants, potential candidates, social and professional organizations and the community to build a pool of qualified, diverse active and passive talent
Research, collect and analyze a wide variety of complex information requests using internal and external resources for preparing and submitting various reports, such as time to fill, trends in talent availability, hiring practices and recruitment strategies
Leads management of the LinkedIn Recruiter platform to support talent acquisition strategies and optimize recruitment outreach
Acts as the primary point of contact for platform management and training
Align recruitment initiatives a with brand strategy and achieve consistency of messaging
This includes: development and enhancement of online recruitment resources and services; responding to social media sites such as LinkedIn, Glassdoor and Indeed; and reviewing and updating marketing materials
Establish metrics for the success of recruitment programs and provide analysis of reports to make recommendations for improvements
Ensure compliance with all USC policies
Stay abreast of all state and federal laws and regulations regarding employment practices, including equal employment opportunity compliance (EEO) and guidelines
Keep up with current issues and matters in the organization related to the HR department
Evaluate and make recommendations to streamline processes
Advise on the University’s employment policies, practices and procedures
Follow-up with departments to ensure interviews were conducted and that the overall recruitment process was fair, equitable, and aligned with institutional hiring standards
Provide career counseling to current employees or employees impacted by a reduction in force as needed
Assist with the Dual Career Services Program as needed
Provides backup support for training delivery for Hire with Confidence and search committee trainings
Develop and maintain community public relations and partnerships with various community agencies, employment agencies, professional organizations/societies, and educational institutions to create brand awareness and identify talent
Attend career fairs and informational sessions to recruit talent as needed
Establish and maintain relationships with human resources representatives on improving processes and human resources related issues
Establish membership and participate in various human resources industry organizations
May serve on committees and task forces related to recruitment issues
Serve as the liaison and partner between the Office of Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, assigned areas of USC, HR Contacts, and HR Service Teams
Provide general administrative support such as prepare correspondence, files, forms, arrange meetings, process confidential documents, and track deadlines
Assist in greeting applicants, handling telephone calls, etc
Works collaboratively with the Sr. Talent Acquisition Consultant as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Troubleshoot issues/problems related to the applicant tracking system
Recommend and assist with the implementation of new system processes
Assist in providing training to employees regarding any federal law, compliance, process and procedures, PeopleAdmin, and any other related subjects under the Office of Talent Acquisition

Required

Bachelor's degree in a job related field and 3 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience
Thorough knowledge of human resources policies and procedures as well as principles and best practices of human resources
Thorough knowledge of state/federal law
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, Access and Outlook)
Demonstrated knowledge of applicant tracking systems
Ability to recognize needs and resources and communicate recommended solutions effectively
Excellent verbal and written communications skills with creative problem-solving skills

Preferred

Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Certified Recruiting Specialist (CRS), or Advanced Internet Recruitment Strategies (AIRS) certification
Higher education and/or government experience
PeopleAdmin applicant tracking system experience
LinkedIn Recruiter experience
