Responsibilities
Source, evaluate, and qualify new investment opportunities in the lower middle market (typically $3–15 million EBITDA)
Develop and maintain relationships with investment banks, business brokers, private equity sponsors, advisors, and company owners
Represent Prospect Capital at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to enhance market visibility and deal flow
Collaborate closely with internal investment and underwriting teams to transition qualified opportunities through the investment process
Track and manage origination activity, maintaining a disciplined and organized pipeline
Contribute to the strategic development of Prospect’s LMME origination platform and market coverage approach
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated success in originating and developing new deal flow in private credit, leveraged finance, private equity, or related fields
Deep relationships and established network across the lower middle market ecosystem
Solid understanding of credit fundamentals and investment evaluation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional presence
Ownership mentality, entrepreneurial drive, and a self-starter mindset
Highly organized and able to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
Strong academic track record
Preferred
Prior experience in private credit, investment banking, private equity, or another analytical, transaction-oriented role preferred
